After another season as a Bed and Breakfast operator on the northern shores of Devil's Lake in Lincoln City, Oregon, I am taking a deep breath and meditating my way to my inner vision. I thought I was building a barrier-free tri-plex to rent to mobility-impaired people. As I began crossing over to the "afternoon of my life," I realized Hidden Cove had an additional spiritual purpose. I began observing the birds, enjoying the ducks, appreciating the Great White Egret couple fly in for a "stop over" to perch on their favorite tree....leaning over the wetland.....beckoning the lake waters...I realized this special place on the planet needed to be shared. And so.....Hidden Cove Bed and Breakfast was born!
Born to be wild! Born to be serene! Born to be tranquil! Born to be a respite for those transitioning; for those seeking solitude; for those desiring a nurturing place to experience a memory.
And so they come...my first guest transitioning to a new career; my second guests spending mother-son time (so needed because of a life-threatening illness); a young honeymoon couple; a mother-daughter weekend before the start of college....and so many more..................... getting something unexpected....sitting and sharing at my breakfast table. This is what I am meant to do....provide the place, the experience, the opportunity to find a spiritual answer....so...I guess a lot is happening at Hidden Cove Bed and Breakfast!!! Maybe not in material measurement, but definitely in terms of spiritual enlightenment and a shift from ambition to meaning. So come to visit for a peak experience and an enduring reasonance that will leave within you....... as you progress on your life's journey.
